I am a twin, a mom, a wife, a reader, a gardener, a sculptor and a painter. I have been asked about what I eat for dinner because my dreams must be really wild. They are.
I prefer the more outlandish explanations for everyday occurances rather than the more mundane and therefore the more probable. Tomato hornworms nibble holes in my tomatoes, but I'd like to think that it was really the Green Goblins; for tomatoes are their favorite food. Tomatoes are red because they are angry. Carrots are crazy. We don't speak of cauliflowers, because...I just don't like them and my husband loves to cook them.
No one would think that I have a BS in Forestry/Engineering; and that I used to do payload analysis for the USFS. Nope. Having my sweet Elizabeth changed everything. I went back to painting. After my Ben was born, I started sculpting because I could stop at a moment's notice to attend to child crises. It has never occured to me to stop; it has been way too interesting. So the kids have flown the coop but I'm still here, doing this, with a whole lot more space to move around. The stories are still coming, the dreams are still colorful, and I still have ideas to try out until my fingers get bony or my eyesight goes.
